Elphin Sports Centre
Located in Launceston just along from the Kmart Shopping complex, Elphin Sports Centre is one of the premier sporting complexes in the city.
With its four multi-purpose halls, table tennis, mezzanine function room and changing rooms, Elphin Sports Centre is capable of hosting both sports based and other events and functions.
The Centre caters from National Competitions right through to grass roots sport, mainly used by basketball, badminton, table tennis and futsal. User groups also include schools, disability groups, wrestling, martial arts, keep fit groups, indoor bowls, pickleball and some exhibitions.
We are the major indoor sports complex in Northern Tasmania, for basketball, badminton, and table tennis and all use these facilities as their headquarters. Predominantly catering for the population of Northern Tasmania, we do actively seek National and State events.
Elphin Sports Centre has played host to many events, ranging from the Launceston Tornadoes home games, National Badminton Championships, Tasmanian Championship Wrestling, State Basketball Events just to name a few.
Elphin Sports Centre is also the home of Basketball Tasmania, Launceston Basketball Association, Northern Tasmanian Badminton Association & Northern Tasmanian Table Tennis Association.
